Autumn 2025 with Three Treasures

The 12hr Tai Chi-athon for Parkinson’s UK

About the event.

On Saturday the 25th of October, Three Treasures invites you to take part in a unique community challenge: a 12-Hour Tai Chi-athon in support of Parkinson’s UK. From sunrise practice in Howard Park, Letchworth, at 6am through to an afternoon of flowing movement at the Mrs Howard Memorial Hall, teachers, students, and supporters will come together for twelve continuous hours of Tai Chi teaching, classes, and practice. Whether you join us in practice, or simply cheer us on from afar, every movement and every breath helps raise awareness and vital funds for Parkinson’s research and support.

The event isn’t just about endurance—it’s about community. By practicing together, we shine a light on the benefits of Tai Chi for balance, strength, calm, and wellbeing, while supporting those living with Parkinson’s. Alongside fundraising for Parkinson’s UK, this day will also showcase the work of Three Treasures and our partners. It’s an opportunity to move with purpose, discover Tai Chi, and be part of a meaningful cause.

How to take part?

This event will run for 12 hours and is open to everyone that wants to join in. If you would like to take part, then please contact us and let us know what time/times you would like to participate. We will not have limitless space, so having an idea on the amount of people arriving throughout the day will be helpful. You are welcome to come for a short time or many hours; it's up to you. You can participate or you are welcome to watch.

The classes are open to people of all ages and fitness levels. Some of the classes will be more dynamic and stronger and will showcase the deep health benefits of Tai Chi, others will be gentle and slow and more appropriate for those with limited mobility.

When it comes to raising money, you are welcome to make a donation through our website page here. If you are participating on the day, then save your donation until you arrive and start the class. You are welcome to get friends and family to sponsor you. There will also be a raffle on the day that will hand out prizes to raise money too.

All donations are welcome from anyone, with all proceeds going to Parkinson’s UK.

There is a link to the Events page where you can donate to Parkinson’s UK.

Please contact me if you have any questions.
