It’s been a busy start to the year and now Spring has finally arrived. This means that the sun rises earlier and sets later. So, we have more daylight hours with which to train.
For me personally, I try to get to bed by 9:30pm and then be up by 5:30am. This means I can have a good sleep and have time to put aside at the beginning of the day for training. I’ve spoken before about the importance of a daily routine before, but for me, the mornings are the best time to get my training done. It’s a great start and has a profound effect on how I work and interact with people throughout the day.
I highly recommend it!

New Classes.
I mentioned before about new classes at The Yoga Shed in Hitchin (www.theyogashedhitchin.uk) and Champneys Henlow. These are both going well. The Yoga Shed times are Wednedays @ 8am and Thursdays @ 7:45pm. Champneys Henlow is Wednesdays @ 5pm and Thursdays @ 8am.
I will be running another Workshop at Champneys Henlow in July this summer. So, keep your eyes open for this.
Coming Soon!
New Website.
We are in the process of doing a complete re-vamp of the Three Treasures Website, with the aim to make it far easier to use and to train with. I love what we’ve done so far but it could be easier to navigate and find what you need. Sometimes less is more.
This will mean that The Monkey Temple will be updated too. We’re going to make it so that it’s easier to find the type of training you’d like to do by putting things in categories. Also, if you only have a short time, just 10 or 15 minutes to train, then you will quickly be able to find things to study.
New Training Courses
I am in the process of putting together new training courses. These will be on the Monkey Temple and in other places throughout the Internet too. Most likely Udemy etc.
I want to reach out to people that are unwell, unfit, who work sitting at a desk all day, or who just can’t seem to find the time to practice. I will offer courses covering many subjects that are for seven days, two weeks, one month and more.
So, keep your eyes open for this.

What are the benefits of training Online?
Through the Monkey Temple I can reach out to far more people than I could simply by teaching face to face. So long as a person has Wi-Fi, then they can practice. The internet is a blessing for me and those that choose to train with it.
Training online means that you can literally keep up with your studies almost anywhere in the world and at any time of the day. So, whether you work during the day or night, live in London or Bali, it doesn’t really matter, you can still train.
Another gift of Online training is that I can going very deeply into subjects that would take a long time to teach face to face, but because I have recorded and categorised them, you are able to watch, pause and rewind as many times as you need until you have understood and embodied them.
The training really is up to you. If you do 10 or 20 minutes a week, then the results will be small. But if you do 10 or 20 minutes every day, then you will quickly see change.
There is a Chinese analogy for practicing martial arts properly is as follows.
If you are trying to cook rice, then you must keep the water on the boil. If you keep taking the pot off the heat and then putting it back, the rice will never cook. It is better to keep the rice on a low boil and ensure that it is continually cooking. Training is like this. It’s better to train 25 minutes every day than three hours once a week. Keep the rice boiling!
Any Questions
If you have any questions about training or the practice of Tai Chi, Xing Yi, Qi Gong or anything else, then please get in touch. There is so much to learn and so many benefits to acquire!
Thank you all,
Chris.
